In response to my blog postings this week, a friend of mine, who teaches junior-year religion class at an upscale, suburban Catholic high school in the southern U.S., conducted an unscientific, anonymous poll on Tuesday. Here are the intriguing results:
1. What grade are you in and have you been to a Catholic school before?

It would be interesting to have the high schoolers at Cretin, Hill and St. Agnes take this same ten question test and see how the answers compare.
ReplyDeleteEqually interesting would be to ask the Catholic students at the local public schools to answer those questions. I suspect there would be little to no statistic difference in the answers. And in fact, in some cases, I suspect the students in the public schools might be more involved in their faith as the parents haven't just handed them over to be educated by the Catholic schools but rather have remained actively engaged in passing on the Faith in their own homes.
